What is addressable geo-fencing?

Geofencing refers to the creation of virtual boundaries (a fence) around a specific location (geo). Traditional geofencing triggers when a person enters or leaves a targeted radius. When you incorporate addressable geofencing you create a boundary around an individual household or business and deliver advertising to every connected device inside.

Addressable geo-fencing is a hyper-local advertising tactic that enables advertisers to target specific households and businesses. We can determine whom to target a number of different ways like use a current customer or prospect list, geofence competitor locations, events, trade shows or utilize our Audience Curation tool to generate a list of prospects who fit your target profile. We then onboard those locations into the addressable geo-fencing platform to target with messages on any device with display, mobile or video.

How does it work?

Step One:

Create a target list of physical addresses to target

The target list can be compiled by a current customer or prospect list, geo-fencing competitor locations, events, trade shows or utilize our Audience Curation tool to generate a list of prospects who fit your target profile.

Step Two:

Addresses are matched against property plat line data

The exact physical location, size and shape is determined and mapped accordingly to maximize precision of the addresses being targeted. We can onboard up to 1 million addresses per campaign with a 90% match rate.

Step Three:

Develop and create personalized campaigns

Advertisers are now able to reach consumers with video, audio and display ads on mobile, laptops, desktops, connected TV’s or any other connected device. We create personalized campaigns to help punch through the ad clutter.

Geo-fence each address to collect and target users

Addressable geo-fencing enhances targeting precision, improves frequency of ads and the overall effectiveness of marketing efforts. By the way, these audiences at every single address are updated daily.

Tracking online to offline conversions

Measure online to offline conversions

Conversion zones are the most powerful tool for tracking online to offline conversions in mobile advertising. By tracing a virtual conversion zone around a physical location, advertisers can measure the amount of physical traffic driven to the location that have previously been served their ad.

How conversion zones work

A virtual geo-fence is traced around an area where the advertiser wants to target customers visiting another physical location (i.e a competitor’s store, a venue, or a specific part of town, etc.)

Next, a virtual conversion zone is traced around one or more of the the advertiser’s locations.

When the customer enters the geo-fenced location, they will then be targeted with the advertiser’s ads on their mobile device.

When the customer enters the conversion zone with their mobile device and has previously been served the advertiser’s ad, the conversion zone recognizes the user and attributes their visit as an offline conversion for the geo-fencing campaign.
